Give Back to the Day

Every morning we wake-up, we are given a new day.  A day filled with endless possibilities.  Some of our days are good and some of our days are bad; but they are all our days.  They are days filled with choices.  Choices we make, that determine if it’s a day that shines brighter than the sun or a day that we wished never happened.  Most of the time we wake up each morning ready to take whatever that day has to offer. We pray for something great to happen, we hope for something that will change our life and we even dream of days gone by.  Year after year these days keep on coming.  Some are memorable days and some blow by like the wind forgotten. If we want our days to really matter, if we want them to change who we are and if we want them to change the world; than we need to start giving back to the day.  We need to wake up each morning realizing that this day, is the day that we fill the world with the gifts we were given.  Gifts of hope, gifts of faith and gifts of love.  It’s rare that we wake up thinking what we can give back to the day.  What we can do that will make this particular day better, for days to come. It’s our day.  It’s our choice.  Now imagine if everyone took each day and fill it with all they had to offer.  That would be a day of reckoning.  That would be a day to remember.
